Low-Carbon Economy for Last-Mile Delivery
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
In this project, the highly complex routing optimization for Low Carbon Economy for Last Mile Delivery (LCELMD) under stochastic-dynamic environments and carbon tax policy is addressed.
The cost function is proposed comprising the emissions taxed and the fuel consumption during the traveling and idling and simulated under stochastic-dynamic environment.
The use of integrated simheuristics approach is introduced as effective and efficient optimization framework. project reveals that a short travel distance routing and a fast travel time routing are not necessarily low-cost and low-emission routing.
Finally, the impact of omitting the dynamic-stochastic environment is also studied which can degrade the solution by up to 40%.
