Feasibility Study for New 3PL Company
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
This project came from my undergraduate thesis, where I was placed in one of the biggest third-party logistics company in Jakarta, Indonesia.
E-commerce users in Indonesia are always increasing every year. In fact, the number of e-commerce transactions in Indonesia is the largest in Southeast Asia in 2019. This makes the third-party logistics business in the e-commerce sector increasingly needed considering that the e-commerce buying and selling system requires logistics services between sellers and buyers.
Seeing a great logistics business opportunity, a feasibility study is conducted on the development of e-commerce logistics services by analyzing market and marketing aspects, technical and technological aspects, management aspects, and financial aspects with a time horizon for 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023.
The result of the feasibility study shows that the NPV value is Rp. 11,288,530,374, IRR is 21.14% with MARR 14%, and DPP is for 3 years 7 months 21 days with an expected return of 4 years so that it can be concluded that the project is feasible to run. The results of the sensitivity analysis show that the allowable decrease in market share is 6.583% and the allowable decrease in selling price is 4.138%.
