A Robust Integrated Framework of Artificial Neural Network and Continuous Genetic Algorithm (ANNCGA)
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
A project with Taiwan Power (Taipower), A Power company in Taiwan.
In facing a critical period of energy transformation, Taiwan is gradually phased out the use of the traditional generators. To realize the plan, renewable energy and power trading platform have been developed by the Taiwan Power Company.
This project aims to give explanatory data analysis to reveal hidden information and propose predictive models.
The proposed predictive models have been proven to outperform other well-known models including some well-known machine learning and time-series techniques.
The proposed model integrates Deep Learning, Continuous Genetic Algorithm, and Combined Forecasting (Hybrid Fbprophet-Holt Winter).
By proposing an accurate model, it is expected that Taipower will reduce the power deficiency. Moreover, key recommendations are proposed as managerial implications to improve power planning through 3 different schemes.
